कुतुब मीनार को लेकर हुए विवाद में एतिहासिक परिसर की खुदाई की जाएगी। बताया गया है की एक रिपोर्ट के आधार पर कुतुब मीनार परिसर की खुदाई की जाएगी। इसके बाद ASI संस्कृति मंत्रालय अपनी रिपोर्ट देंगे। संस्कृतिक मंत्रालय ने अपने अधिकारियों के साथ कुतुब मीनार परिसर का निरीक्षण करने का फैसला लिया है। कुतुब मीनार साउथ में मस्जिद से 15 मीटर की दूरी पर खुदाई का काम शुरू किया जा सकता है। 

संस्कृतिक मंत्रालय ने बता की केवल कुतुब मीनार में ही नहीं बल्कि अंगताल और लालकोट किले पर भी खुदाई की जा सकती है। कुतुब मीनार के खुदाई के निर्णय से पहले संकृति सचिव गोविंद मोहन ने 12 लोगो का टीम बनाया और कुतुब मीनार परिसर का निरीक्षण किया। इस टीम में 3 इतिहासकार, ASI के 4 अधिकारी और कुछ रिसर्चर शामिल थे। कुतुब मीनार में परिसर की खुदाई के विषय में ASI के अधिकारियों का कहना है की 1991 के बाद इसमें खुदाई का काम नही हुआ है। 1991 के बाद नही हुई कोई खुदाई का काम कुतुब मीनार परिसर में 

टीम में उपस्थित ASI के अधिकारियों का कहना है की 1991 के बाद कुतुब मीनार परिसर के कोई खुदाई का काम नही हुआ है। इसलिए कई रिसर्च भी पेंडिंग है इसलिए इस पेंडिंग रिसर्च के लिए इतना बड़ा फैसला लिया गया है की कुतुब मीनार परिसर की खुदाई की जाए।

कुतुब मीनार का नाम भी बदलने की मांग की गई है।

कुतुब मीनार का नाम भी बदलने की मांग की गई है। इसके बाद हिंदू के कुछ कार्यकर्ताओं ने वहा हनुमान चालीसा का पाठ भी किया था। हिंदू संगठन के कार्यकर्ताओं ने कुतुब मीनार का नाम बदलकर विष्णु स्तंभ करने की मांग की है।

कुतुब मीनार के इस विवाद में हिंदू संगठन के एक कर्मचारी ने कहा की यह हमारा था इसे मुगलों ने हमसे छीन लिया था। इसलिए उनका कहना है की वो इस कुतुब मीनार का नाम बदल कर विष्णु स्तंभ कर दिया जाए ये उनकी मांग है।

कुतुब मीनार में रखी भगवान गणेश की मूर्ति को लेकर भी विवाद हुआ था। महरौली से बीजेपी की निगम परिषद आरती सिंह ने मांग की है की इन मूर्तियों को कुतुब मीनार के उचित स्थान पर रख कर उनकी पूजा और आरती की जाय।

In this dispute of Qutub Minar, an employee of Hindu organization said that it was ours, it was snatched from us by the Mughals.  That's why they say that they should change the name of this Qutub Minar to Vishnu Pillar, it is their demand.

 Controversy also took place over the idol of Lord Ganesha in Qutub Minar

 There was also a dispute regarding the idol of Lord Ganesha kept in Qutub Minar.  BJP's corporation council Aarti Singh from Mehrauli has demanded that worship and aarti should be done by keeping these idols at the proper place of Qutub Minar.
