भारत की यह सबसे ठंडी जगह जम्मू कश्मीर राज्य के कारगिल जिले में स्तिथ है जिसका नाम द्रास है और यह भारत का सबसे ठंडा स्थान है।

इस शहर को लद्दाख के प्रवेश द्वार भी कहते है ।द्रास समुंद्र तट से 10,800 फीट की ऊंचाई पर बसा हुआ है।यह शहर श्रीनगर से 140 किलोमीटर के दूरी पर स्तिथ है । इस शहर में आपको बहुत से पर्यटक मिल जायेंगे जोकि अपने फैमिली और दोस्तो के साथ घूमने के लिए आए होते है ।

जिसे द्रास वॉर मेमोरियल के नाम से भी जानते है। यह स्मारक स्थल टोलोलिंग हिल्स के तलहटी पर स्तिथ है। इस स्मारक को भारतीय सेना द्वारा बनाया गया है। इस स्मारक स्थल का निर्माण 1999 में भारत- पाक कारगिल युद्ध में शहीद हुए भारतीय सैनिकों के याद में बनाया गया है।

काफी मात्रा में पर्यटक यहां स्मारक स्थल देखने के लिए आते है। पहाड़ियों और तिरंगों के बीच में बना यह स्मारक लहराते हुए देश प्रेमियों का याद दिलाता है ।
